Gruppo Statuto has acquired the Caesar Augustus hotel in Anacapri from the Italian Signorini family for €180m, further expanding its portfolio of luxury hotels in Italy.
The Italian real estate group bought the hotel which comprises 49 rooms and six suites at a price of €3.2 million per key. Hotel amenities also include a restaurant, pool and spa.
Located on Via Giuseppe Orlandi, the five-star hotel is situated on the edge of a 300-meter-high cliff, allowing it views across the Bay of Naples. The original villa was built in 1850. In 1940, it was purchased by the Signorini family and converted to a hotel, and in 1995 was refurbished to a luxury standard.
Post pandemic, Gruppo Statuto has doubled down on European luxury hospitality and has been building an enviable portfolio over the past few years.
The Caesar Augustus hotel joins others in Statuto’s Italian portfolio including the Hotel Danieli in Venice, the Four Seasons in Milan and the Six Senses in Rome. In January 2024, Statuto acquired the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Paris for €205 million and made its debut in Spain in July 2023, acquiring the 125-key Hotel W in Ibiza from Scala Capital.
