Minor Hotels Targets Asia for Expansion, Launches Four New Brands

Minor Hotels is ramping up its presence in Asia with plans to grow its global portfolio from 600 to 850 properties, Vice President of Development Yasin Mushi said during an interview at IHIF Asia. The company is shifting toward an asset-light model, focusing on management and franchise agreements to support sustainable growth. Mushi emphasized Asia’s importance as Minor’s home base and highlighted untapped opportunities across the region. He also introduced four new brands—Wolseley Hotels, Minor Reserve Collection, Colbert Collection and iStay—each designed to meet specific market needs and support conversion-friendly development.

The new brands span luxury, premium and midscale segments, with Wolseley Hotels inspired by the iconic London restaurant and targeting Tier 1 city centers. Minor Reserve and Colbert Collections aim to attract independent hotels with flexible design standards, while iStay marks the company’s entry into the affordable midscale space. Mushi also discussed enhancements to Minor’s digital platforms and loyalty program, Minor Discovery, which now includes nearly 30 million members. With India and Japan identified as key growth markets, Minor is positioning itself for long-term success in the region.
