Louvre Hotels unveils €500M renovation & global expansion strategy at IHIF Asia

On day one of IHIF Asia, Alexi Khajavi sits down with Mathieu Rouri, VP of Operations for Louvre Hotels, to explore the group’s ambitious five-year strategic plan. Launched in 2023, the plan focuses on renovating 80% of Louvre’s owned and leased European properties—over 200 hotels—with a €500 million investment, positioning these as flagship properties while enhancing competitiveness.

Mathieu highlights the group’s commitment to food and beverage, a key driver of guest experience and revenue across mid-scale to luxury brands, with initiatives like the Chef’s Club promoting regional and signature cuisines globally.

In Asia, Louvre is concentrating on high-potential markets including India, China, and Southeast Asia, prioritizing top-three positioning over market saturation. The group’s disciplined growth approach leverages management-led operations, local partnerships, and strategic brand placement. Exciting expansions include the Royal Tulip in Nepal and multiple Golden Tulip and Sarovar openings across Asia, Africa, and Brazil.
