Travelodge adds five hotels to Spanish portfolio

Travelodge has opened five new hotels in Spain, adding 635 rooms to its existing portfolio.

Located in Alicante Puerto, Barcelona del Valles, Madrid Alcala de Henares, Malaga Aeropuerto, and Murcia, the new hotels began operations on May 31st, following their acquisition from the Louvre Group.

This expansion is part of Travelodge's strategy to increase its presence in Spain, where it already operates six other hotels. The company has been operating in Spain for 20 years, with its first hotel opening in Madrid in 2004 and it has already identified locations for new openings across populare tourist destinations in Spain such as Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Bilbao.
