KSL Capital Partners has launched the sales process for its Village Hotels chain, according to The Sunday Times.
The private equity company has begun an auction process with a starting price of £800 million, a significant increase from the £485 million amount it paid when it purchased the chain from De Vere Group in 2014.
Village Hotels’ portfolio currently comprises 33 hotels across the UK, up from 25 hotels in 2014.
Morgan Stanley has been appointed to run the auction.
KSL declined to comment.
